A Message from Sandy Chilton, Director of CDC Central

Welcome to the Del Valle ISD Child Development Center Central!

My name is Sandy Chilton, and I am honored to serve as the Director of CDC Central. I bring 20 years of experience in education, including time as a pre-K and kindergarten teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, and most recently, Director of CDC North. My heart has always been in early childhood, and I am excited to continue this work with the CDC Central community.

At CDC Central, we believe children learn best in a safe, joyful, and nurturing environment. Through play, exploration, routines, and strong relationships, our little learners build confidence, curiosity, independence, and a love of learning. We know this work is strongest when families, teachers, and staff work together as a team.

I was born and raised in Laredo, Texas, and I bring my culture, bilingual background, and love for early learning into everything I do. I am committed to helping build a school community where every child feels seen, supported, and celebrated, and where our educators feel valued in the important work they do each day.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, exploring new places, collecting children’s books, and searching for the perfect taco.

Whether you are a parent, staff member, or community partner, I am excited to get to know you and work alongside you to make CDC Central a place where little learners grow, families feel welcome, and big dreams take root.

With joy,

Sandy Chilton
